Taza has been serving the population of Nepal with the scrumptious dishes from the middle eastern. Being Nepal's only Syrian restaurant, was the first to introduce authentic Arabic and middle eastern cusines. The owner and chef, Bassel Shreiqi, a Syrian nativeand his wife Sangita Lama tell the tale of love and a melding of disparate cultures through their food. 'Taza' which means fresh in Nepalese seems to have been a word borrowed from Arabic which also means the same. Both the word taza and the union of cultures is the essense of the eatery which has been serving swarmas, falafels, a wide range of hummus and syrian platters since 2014.
